Production Manufacturing Apprenticeship

We now have an apprenticeship opportunity for a Production Manufacturing Apprentice.

As a Production Manufacturing Apprentice at Peterlee Glass, you’ll be part of the new generation of highly skilled glass machine operators. This exciting opportunity will provide you with the skills needed to produce the incredible products that PLG is well known for.

No experience is required as full training will be provided on site. The ideal candidate must have a keen willingness to learn, innate ability, excellent time keeping and excellent attention to detail. You must also be enthusiastic and have the drive and ambition to excel and progress in our ever-expanding business.

The successful applicant will be trained in some of the following areas which are not exhaustive:

• State of the art CNC machines
• Straight line edge polishing machines
•  Forvet water jet / drilling machine
• Glass laminating process
• Cutting glass tables
• Toughening furnace
• How to read and understand technical drawings, (CAD)
• Glass radius edging machines
• Along with various other processes

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, someone we can mould into a highly skilled flexible employee. We are building a team of multi skilled individuals here at Peterlee Glass, and in time, the right individual will become an asset to the business and integral to our long-term strategy.
